Seething Mom

I seethe NOT because my son is gay. I seethe because he lives in a country in which some elected officials find it politically advantageous to deny him dignity, basic rights, and protections. I seethe because there are people who preach hatred and discrimination towards gays yet claim to be "good" and "loving" Christians. I seethe because there are groups who claim to be "advocates" for the family but who work to do great harm to any family that doesn’t fit their narrow template for “normal”.

Hey Tennessee State Representatives Mark Pody (R–Lebanon) and Mae Beavers (R–Mt. Juliet), why the f*ck are you such hateful bigots? Leave your LGBTQ constituents alone. Why can't you accept that Love has no labels. Let people be who they are.

“Football season is over and the Super Bowl is behind us. But the NFL is trying to push homosexuality through a new pro same-sex ad. In this ad they show two men kissing each other and two women kissing each other on the ‘kiss cam.’ They’re trying to define sin as love and make it acceptable. This generation is being bombarded with an upside-down version of truth and love. Don’t fall for it."
