Seething Mom

I seethe NOT because my son is gay. I seethe because he lives in a country in which some elected officials find it politically advantageous to deny him dignity, basic rights, and protections. I seethe because there are people who preach hatred and discrimination towards gays yet claim to be "good" and "loving" Christians. I seethe because there are groups who claim to be "advocates" for the family but who work to do great harm to any family that doesn’t fit their narrow template for “normal”.

And It’s (CYA) Business as Usual for the Party of Religious and Family Values

John Amato wonders whether Boehner is objecting to Nancy Pelosi’s Investigation Resolution because his own hands might be a bit filthy regarding the Foley Sex scandal cover-up.

John also notes that when the clerk reads the resolution calling for an ethics investigation into Foley – Republicans actually boo Nancy when she asks for a recorded vote. They don’t boo the brewing sex scandal -- they boo Nancy.
