Tough way to start my day. Watching extremely homophobic parents (actors) reacting badly to the news that their son is gay was so painful I almost didn't make it to the end of the clip. I guess knowing that there are still scenes like this playing out in homes across the country makes me realize how far we still have to go. Thankfully there were a few (and certainly not enough for me) bright spots in the clip. God bless the brave angels who stepped out of their comfort zones to confront the ugly parent or offer comfort to the inconsolable child.
