Ok, this clip is a bit old, but I am intrigued by this Dr. Paul Cameron, a man so homophobic that he is willing to sell his soul and any credibility and reputation he might have had by using his own bogus studies to claim that “homosexuals threaten public health, social order, and the well-being of children.” It doesn’t matter that “his conclusions were generally at odds with other published research, and that objective indices show his work has had no apparent impact on scientific research on sexual orientation.” And yes, I know that in 1983, the American Psychological Association sent him a letter informing him that he had been dropped from membership and that in 1984, the Nebraska Psychological Association adopted a resolution stating that it "formally disassociates itself from the representations and interpretations of scientific literature offered by Dr. Paul Cameron in his writings and public statements on sexuality." And yes, I also know that the only people that will have anything to do with him are people who’d like nothing more than to demonize gays and lesbians at any cost, like the Family Research Institute of Colorado Springs, Colorado, an extremely anti-gay organization. For them, Dr. Cameron’s discredited studies work just fine for achieving their goals. I mean, who needs peer reviewed, credible scientific studies when they can just look to Dr. Cameron to pull something out of thin air to back up whatever claim they need legitimized?
